Help

Write to support@forohackers.com; we usually answer within a day.

Posting

Reading is open to everyone. To post in the forum, join with a name and a password; email is optional. The first time you open the forum you are asked to accept that posts are not reviewed before they appear.

Messages accept Markdown: **bold**, `code`, fenced code blocks, tables and links. Raw HTML and images are shown as plain text.

Reporting

Every message has a Report link, for content that breaks the law or the rules. Say which and why; a name and an email are optional. You get a private receipt page: keep its address, it is the only way to see the decision. A removed message shows the reason it was removed.

Your account

Your password is turned into keys in your browser and is never sent to us, so we cannot reset it. At signup you get a recovery key: keep it offline. If you lose the password, the recovery key sets a new one (and you get a new recovery key). If you lose both, the account and your encrypted groups are gone.

Change the password, and see your key fingerprint, on your account page.

The anonymous board

Anonymous posts carry no account and no name, and we store no address with them. Our web server's logs, though, keep the address and time of every request for up to 14 days (see Privacy). To keep your address out of them, post from a browser where you are not logged in, over Tor (see Tor).

Tick Sign as a returning source to let readers recognise your later posts: a key is kept in that browser only, and every reader's browser checks the signature.

Encrypted groups

Groups are readable only by their members' browsers. To add someone, ask them for their name and the fingerprint on their account page, and compare it with the one shown when you add them: the same digits mean the same keys.
