The Requisites

A computing device with Internet access: No previous knowledge is required. Joining takes a name and a password; your browser does a little proof of work to keep the bots out. You must have an internet connection to access our communication channels and resources.

Your real name is not required: The only thing that matters is who we are as individuals, not our past or our names. You can use any nickname or handle that reflects who you are or want to be. It is not mandatory to share personal information with others unless you feel comfortable doing so.

A willingness to learn: The world is constantly changing, technology is evolving, new vulnerabilities are discovered every day, new exploits are developed to take advantage of them, new tools are released to defend against them... We must be open to learn from our own experiences as well as from others. We must be willing to adapt to new situations and environments, to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to problems.

The Banner of HACKERS: It will be the most glorious, stained with the sweat and blood of our efforts. We will raise it high, proud of who we are and what we represent. We will defend it with our lives, and it will be a symbol of our strength and unity.

The glider, the emblem proposed by Eric S. Raymond in 2003, is ours too: read why it stands for hackers.

All HACKERS are brave: Each hacking group has its own reputation for bravery; here, we will show our hackers brotherhood is the bravest. We will prove our worth, not with words, but with actions.

Be nice with others: Speaking well is what makes us different. Talk about any corner of computing in a smart way; leave politics out, as the rules say. Endless arguments and flame wars are strongly discouraged.

Avoiding leaks: Do not share insider information to the outer world in a manner that could harm the community or any of its members.
